Realism 26, Figure and TimeAl Sur Gallery — Arte Contemporáneo | Buenos Aires, New York, Milan
This exhibition, inaugurated at Espacio Cultural Barrakesh together with Al Sur Gallery, represents the meeting of two projects united by the same commitment to local culture. In paintings, digital prints on polycarbonate, sculptures and roll installations, images appear and disappear depending on the viewer's position and the light. Paradoxical perceptions are created: the same thing looks different or hides at every angle. The viewer physically experiences the return of the image. His unconventional materials such as cast resins, iron and aluminum baths reveal a visual investigation that fuses science and enigma, transforming the everyday into something apocalyptic and beautiful. Bedel reinvents techniques, erases boundaries and creates unprecedented configurations. Far from commercialism and ephemeral novelty, his work is born from a profound introspection that acts as an antidote against nihilism.
